New games coming out!

Posted by Hyptosis - December 19th, 2012

Just thought I'd post, share what I've been working on.

My main focus right now is Guild Dungeons 2. But it's a pretty massive title, a real pain to code and keep organized. But I want to do it right. I enjoyed making the first one, and a lot of players liked it. Two good reasons to work really hard on the sequel.

I'm also working on this dungeons and dragons/sagittarian prototype. Thing. It's like a cross between Guild Dungeons and The Sagittarian. I want to keep it simple, and hopefully fun to play. I"m worried it might be a bit text heavy, but making flash games to me is all about experimenting. I love trying new game ideas and seeing what people like. It'll probably be a huge flop, and be 'too short' but regardless, I"m excited to give it a go. It's roughly 80% finished.

I know a lot of people are wondering about the next Sagittarians, I AM working on them, but they're no where near ready to be released. They're very taxing titles to work on. I've also been working on Kingdom of Liars, but I'm taking some time to really study my previous games, and try to find what aspects of the game mechanics players liked, and what they didn't like. Like, I got a lot of complaints about the floor panel puzzle in Kingdom of Liars, it made sense to me when building it, but players didn't seem to like it on a whole. I don't want to make the same mistakes over and over.

I think it is really important to listen to your players, while trying to stay true to yourself and the image you have for your product.

Anyway, that's what I"m working on, thanks guys! Stay cool!

Yes I know ;_;

Oh yeah... now Guild dugeons+Saggitarian thing? F**k yeah! Also... Kingdom of Liars? that's really great. I am looking forward to it, 'cause you'll always surprise us

Oh,and that rabbit... lolz I should have dressed up like that for halloween XD

Thanks!

Can't wait for another sagittarian release, also I hope for Wayfinder and Gearlock to be completed someday.

Yeah, I dunno what to do with those two. I really would like to revisit Gearlock sometime, I think Wayfinder is done though. It has run it's course and the fever has died out. But who knows!

So when you say dragons/sagittarian prototype, do you mean like a text dungeon crawler? Or like a post-apocalyptic fantasy game? As for Sagittarian, take your time with it. A good game cannot be rushed. Good games aren't always quickly made, but games quickly made are never good. Or something. I don't know. Still, take your time.

A text dungeon crawler, I mean, there is obviously some art, but I focused on story telling. We'll see how it does, I suspect 'not well' will be the answer. Steelcurse did better than I expected though, so maybe I just don't give people enough credit.

I liked the Sagittarian, but the last one was meek, it just didn't feature as much variety as the older ones. The puzzles in Kindom of Liars were ridiculously simple, they weren't challenging enough. Also, your RPGs have too much grinding in them, if you want to stand a chance against the final boss the game requires you grind for a long painfully dull time. The other thing I don't like is the inability to sell your old equipment, every RPG should have this basic feature.

whats the picture from and i think somone ate mister rabbits saldad he is not amused

All your works are so great and every single pictures of Mr Rabbit make me feel really good. I hope to see the sequel to all your games (even the old ones and even the finished ones ^_^)

Damned be the players' preferences! Your choices are the best.

i dont care i like text heavy games
