So I was putting flea medicine on my cat, and thought about this concept of making a game/story where the protagonists are fleas. Right, so like in a story, when they usually say there are invaders in Essex, these characters would say, 'there were invaders in Rover.' the pets would be their cities/planets. It's be a tough sell to make fleas protagonists for sure, and it might not even be worth the effort. Although you might be able to do an allusion to human consumption of our own planet. "Those guys used the live on Spot, but they mined it out. Host died, now they're Strayjumpers. Pathetic." Also, maybe the fleas that live on cats (Catgliders) have a different culture than Houndwalkers. Do some mad max tribal stuff maybe. There was an anime called Twilight of the Cockroaches, and it represented japan's war with the united state in WW2. Japan being the cockroaches, and the humans invading the apartment being the US. And the bug bombs the humans used to get rid of Japan/Roaches was the atom bomb. It was the 'overkill' and if memory serves, the Humans were portrayed as invaders and 'bad' which is interesting. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twilight_of_the_Cockroaches
Anyway, so yeah, my cat got his flea medicine.

I once had a similar idea. It involved creatures so tiny in comparison to their hosts they had no idea that they were parasites to a living creature. They used the hosts skin or outer flesh to build vehicles and homes. I was thinking of giving the allusion that their mobile vehicle homes were insects. And it came from the horrific fact that female bedbugs don't have genital openings and so males inject their sperm into their chests
