One of my friends made a gofundme to help my wife and I recover from the fire that hit our home. I couldn't ask for better friends, and we're truly touched by everyone's kindness. I don't really know what to say. Thank you all.

Hey everyone, quick update. We've mostly just been digging through the rubble and doing paperwork. We had a lot more in there than we realized, but I suspect that'll always be the case. We'll be needing tools for years and realizing we don't have them anymore, etc. But it's all fine really. We're doing okay, paperwork is stressful and all that but we're good.

I'm overwhelmed with the number of people who have reached out to me and want to help. I never expected it and I'm really deeply touched. Thank you all so much. It's been a rough year for sure but we're not going to give up, and I know we can bounce back from this. I think my wife and I handle this kind of stuff pretty well, we always survive and persevere.

A few people have asked about a gofundme and other sources for donations, but I don't think I'm going to do that. This is bad and will take time to recover, but I think we can do it on our own. And besides our cat, we only lost 'stuff'. If in the future we're in a bind I might change my mind then. I know we've lost a lot but if we work hard we can regain it. A lot of other people have it a lot harder and worse than we do. They need help more than we do.

As we're cleaning up I might share some more pictures, it's pretty insane how extensive the damage is. I keep expecting to find something that survived, and I haven't. Not a single thing so far. Even my steel tools and other metal objects are melted and warped. We lost a lot (not all) of our school photos, especially from graduation. I didn't even store very many accelerants in the garage. A few paint cans, some motor oil, that is about it. Even the lawnmower gas was kept in a smaller out building. I had a -lot- of lumber stored in the building though as I was planning to build some furniture.

Again, thank you all so much, I'm really touched, please take care.

There was a fire and my family lost pretty much half of everything we own, and one of our cats. It was an accident, and we're okay, it's just a huge set back. 2020 has been a rough year, and it keeps getting harder and I don't understand what I did to bring this all on. I hope this is the end of my terrible fortune so far.

I don't really know what else to say, at least our entire home didn't burn, just the garage. The fire department say that they think my cat chewed through an electrical wire and caused the fire. I did find his body and buried him. I feel horrible for what he experienced.

I think I'm mostly caught up with all of my contract work save for two particular projects. I'm going to probably go kinda quiet for a while and just focus on those two things and nothing else.

I did have insurance and they're going to cover a lot, I think they're going to fall about 10k short of covering everything, which considering the raw volume how much we lost that isn't bad. It kind of feels like my wife and I are starting over in a lot of ways but this is just money and we can eventually recover from that in time.

Thanks for reading this far, take care guys.

This isn't really game related, but more roleplaying related. I made a post on Reddit if anyone wants to scope out the newest page of my Monster Manual side project!

This is a bike design i just did, thinking about building it. But I'd need to buy some new tools. :/

This is a design I did for the new 2020 mid engine corvette, I can't afford to build this right now unless I find someone to sponsor it.

This is my newest project I've been working on for myself. I'm pretty excited about it, and it is dissimilar from a lot of my early content.

It is a game about a neglected child, growing up in a small town. And he discovers something otherworldly and dark/sinister in the woods. He (the player) has to decide what to do about it.

It's going to be all story, super easy to play, I want it to be very accessible.

Obviously still super early, I only have two rooms done, and have got the transitions working to my liking. But still wanted to share. ^_^
